Skills for Managing Anxiety

Denise Jensen, MSW, LSW, will speak about managing anxiety at the next meeting of Asperger Autism Group of Goshen. Jensen is in private practice in Goshen as a therapist. She has worked with children and youth for almost 20 years, working for Oaklawn and then for the Elkhart County Special Education Cooperative.  She recently opened up a private practice providing individual, couple, and family therapy from a strengths-based and cognitive/behavioral approach.

The presentation will emphasize the skills helpful for managing anxiety and how to recognize anxiety in persons on the autism spectrum.

The meeting will be Monday, September 10, 7-8:30 p.m. at Eighth Street Mennonite Church, 602 South Eighth Street, Goshen. It is free and open to the public. The group's lending library of books and videos is available beginning at 6:45 p.m. Details online at www.autismgoshen.org.
