Parent Conversation Nights

An unstructured evening to sit and talk with other parents of kids on the spectrum. Third Thursdays in the Starbucks at Martins Supermarket--Goshen (1527 Bashor Road, near Bashor & Elkhart Rd, Goshen), 7:00-8:30 pm or as long as people want to stay.  You can't miss us -- we are usually the only group in the coffee shop area.
Dates in 2012: Aug 16,  Sep 20, Oct 18, Nov 15, No December meeting.
2013: Jan 17, Feb 21, Mar 21, Apr 18, May 16, Jun 20, Jul 18.

Announcements

  • Young Adults Speak Out
    A panel of young adults with Asperger's or high-functioning autism will speak at the next meeting of Asperger Autism Group of Goshen. Panelists are members of the Shoots Game Club, a Goshen social and self-advocacy group. They will discuss ways parents can provide emotional, relational, academic, financial, physical, and spiritual support, and how parents can help develop greater independence for their children.

    The meeting will be Monday, June 3, 7-8:30 p.m. at Eighth Street Mennonite Church, 602 South Eighth Street, Goshen. It is free and open to the public. The group's lending library of books and videos is available beginning at 6:45 p.m. Group information is online at www.autismgoshen.org.

We are now offering childcare at Monday meetings.
Please contact Dena Deal in advance to reserve childcare.

All our meetings are open to the public and free of charge. Lending library opens at 6:45.
